2021 Matching Grant Opportunity

Dear Parish Family,

The past year of Covid quarantining has been challenging for each of us individually and for the finances of our church.  We had hoped to take advantage of reduced usage of the hall and kitchen facilities last summer to renovate the Parish  Center but did not have sufficient funds to do so.  Only one-half of our parishioners had been able to support the project through capital campaign commitments.  

While we are currently in the process of reducing the project‘s cost to bring it closer to reality, we will still be short of the needed funds, but God works in mysterious ways. In memory of Elpis Peters, who recently fell asleep in the Lord, the Peters Family has offered to match new donations 10 times, up to $50,000,  to enable more parishioners to  participate in supporting the project.    

Given this opportunity, we are asking parishioners who have not yet been able to commit to the project, to prayerfully consider donating at this time.  Parishioners who have previously committed will also hopefully consider an additional donation at this time.   Every contribution will  make a significant impact because of the 10 times match.  For example, a contribution of $200 will become $2,200.  Moreover, we will build greater parish unity in support of the project, and together we can accomplish  great things.
