Community Commitment Day Invitation: July 28

Beloved in Christ,
As you probably are aware, our church is embarking on a great spiritual endeavor during the next few months, called Renewing our Community. We are taking a bold step forward, planning for the future of our parish, for the next height of service in Christ. With our beautiful Byzantine Temple built now, with your help, it is time to address the other needs of our parish: we are ready to renovate and enhance our Damianos Peters Parish Center.
The purpose of this renovation is not just a building, but, more importantly, it is about what it means for the renewal of our community. In the renovated space of the Damianos Parish Center we will be able to extend hospitality to more people, better educate our entire community, and we’ll have better facilities to reach out to the greater community around us. This type of challenge is a defining moment for our church, and it is our privilege to be a part of one of the historic steps in our church’s journey of faith.
As you can imagine, the benefits of our plans are colossal for our community. But the costs are also challenging, and this is why we appeal to all of you to bring forward the best all of us have to offer. To maximize the results of our capital stewardship campaign to fund Renewing our Community, we must all prayerfully find the unique response God has enabled and blessed us to give. This effort will only be accomplished by all of us, putting together our God-given gifts. All of you have the opportunity to be involved in Renewing our Community, which is centered on traditional Christian stewardship and generosity.
As a member of our church family, I am asking you to begin even now praying and considering how God might work through your generosity to Renewing our Community. I am asking you to be a generous partaker in this effort, to be one of the first to consider a response that will encourage boldness and faith in others.
I would like to invite you to join all the other members our community for a great Community Commitment Gathering, where you will learn about the vision, ministry and opportunity of Renewing our Community. This will be a day of friendship, information sharing, prayer, hospitality, fun activities and, more importantly, commitment for Renewing our Community.
We will host the gathering on July 28 at 12:00PM, after Divine Liturgy at our Church location, 303 Cullum Dr., Euless TX 76040. Please anticipate a call on or after the 15th of July from someone on the Renewing our Community Leadership Team to confirm your attendance. The children will also participate in the fun with activities hosted by our GOYA group. I look forward to a great time together!
Ask our Office for the informational materials about Renewing Our Community as well as a commitment brochure with a card you can fill-in, mail to us or bring with you to the event on July 28.
We may never again have such a significant moment to make a gift that expresses our gratitude to God and leaves a legacy for future generations. I trust you share my excitement and joy as we anticipate this defining moment.
